Kris & jake Kreutzer
At ages 13 and 17 respectively, we began apprenticing for our dad, George Kreutzer. One to two days a week we would go directly from school and begin our weekly residential salt deliveries. Even before that we were unloading and stacking salt, it was a family affair. He established our company in 1980, back when we specialized solely in water softener and eventually agricultural salt. Though our services ebbed and flowed over time, we very slowly began to sell softeners in 2000.
When we took over the family business in 2008 it was time to define the future of Salt of the Earth. In addition to the softener salt that we continue to sell, we started to establish our business as a leader in residential and commercial machine sales and service for the greater Spokane area. Most recently we’ve added ice melt to our repertoire of services, working primarily with our already well established salt and machine clientele.
